Thursdays in the Garden
Master Gardeners of Cuyahoga County work throughout the growing season on Thursday mornings at 10:00 in the demonstration gardens (Herb, Perennial, Vegetable) weather permitting. The public is free to visit, observe the demonstrations gardens, and ask the Master Gardeners questions.
Did you know?
Since 2013 Ben Franklin Community Garden has been zoned as Urban Garden District (Ord. 825-10 by [-then-] Council Member Brancatelli). Community gardens play an important role in creating healthier communities but they need support from local governments to be sustainable. Zoning determines what can/cannot be built and what activities can/cannot take place on a parcel. Adopting land use policies such as "Urban Garden District" is one way our city protects and supports BFCG.

The Garden is a HOP STOP!
Saturday Sept. 21 is the final 2024 date to HOP around Old Brooklyn and discover all the creativity the neighborhood offers. Hop over for walks around the garden and our music performance from 6–7:00 p.m. (see below).

Is there any doubt? We're a Blue Ribbon Garden!
Ben Franklin Community Garden was the blue ribbon winner at the 2024 Cuyahoga County Fair! Kudos and thanks to Operating Committee member Bert Orsini and her crew for the outstanding concept and exhibit! Thanks also to all the gardeners who donated produce for our entry. Outstanding again! Congratulations also to all the gardeners who won ribbons for their individual entries.
